Where is my disk open?

I downloaded the software and even updated the preferences to open immediately and closed and restarted. When I put my Blue ray in it doesn’t play the movie it just pushing the disk back out. I never saw the orange box allowing you to click on the disk to open just the green which isn’t useful if im trying to watch a movie. I don’t find this confusing unless I’m missing something?
