Leawo Blu-ray Player App Reviews

Launched it with an of the shelf BluRay disk and after quite a while and lots of data being sent over the internet it displayed an error saying the software is unable to read the disk, and that they would inform me when a fixed version will be made available.

It works great on my iMac 27" with the portable Samsung Blu-ray Writer SE-506. Just a bit slow the first minutes after inserting the Blu-ray disk, the movie is a bit jerky, but after about 5mn the player becomes calm and the movie plays smoothly. Its a great player, thanks!

great app, easy to use! recomended

I don’t know what the other reviewer is smoking, but this is the buggiest piece of software I have ever had the displeasure to download from the AppStore. Do yourself a favour and move on. I thought the AppStore was a source of good quality, SAFE software. This program is the definitly the exception. It must be a scam, what other reason is there for it? Avoid it with a long stick.

Upon first try, didn’t work, it just froze, the same symptoms as “not responding” , but for some reason when trying to force quit it, it is not recognized under being that state… After force quitting, it would no longer open, and it would cause my computer to crash when shutting down… well i’ve deleted it from my hard drive. Most other bluray players are paid softwares , this one was free , so i thought i’d give it a shot. I then tried purchasing a 30$ software with the same symptoms.. i dont know if it’s my bluray player that’s not compatible, but you would expect the app to be compatible with all players… 3 stars, because it’s not just this app that’s having problems

What else can one ask? All the movies that my suckie 3 year old Samsung BluRay Player couldn’t play, this Mac could with this software and an “internal" BluRay (which I connected via USB).

It works well and i have only one consern and that is it does not work if i do not have an internet conection. but other than that it is very good

Don’t even bother downloading this app. It doesn’t work, it just keeps spitting the disk out after wasting about 1-2 mins attempting to read it...

Works well for a free product. Plays Blu-Ray films just fine, albeit with few frills and a confusing interface.

Won’t play a Blu-ray from Region 2 (Australia). Waste of time, boo! :(

Just purchased a Blu-Ray burner/player for my iMac. I needed a player app to test my movies prior to burning. Works really well.

It’s very good for free one. Needs in shortcuts. Pragrammer should use all quicktimes shortcuts for this program. Menus a little much simple. we ‘re using mac, we deserves good looking and more effective menus..

I realize that this is a free app, but I at least expect for it to work. Will just continue to load for a while with no results. Has potential, please fix bugs!

Terrible! Don’t know how this app got into the app store. App doesn’t play my Blu-Ray and hangs up my Macbook. Have to restart to get my laptop back to normal. Don’t bother.

All it does is loads, will not play any commercial Blu ray video. Biggest piece of junk ever. It only freezes my machine and makes me have to restart because it cannot load a blu ray. Was of time do not download just buy on from macgo or Ireal those apps actually work and load blu ray as long as you are connected to the internet. Hell this crap is still trying to load after writing this review. In the Trash you go! Total SCAM

It doesn’t load any media. Also, its UI is in Chinese.

The bad news? Not very intuitive controls, but once you figure out the rationale behind it, fairly easy to do. The Good News? I have Region A and B blu-rays and it played both without needing to change a region setting, with disk menu support for both, so special features and vocal commentary could all be accessed. I like this app!

This app works perfectly expletive fine. Don’t pay someone else for for what you can get for free unless you have the expletive money to burn. No problems with this app.

2012 MacBook Pro (Yosemite) with external Samsung Blu-Ray drive reads/plays discs just fine.
